Finance Manager

The Finance Manager oversees all financial activities of their respective Business Division, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, legal regulations, policies & procedures, correct booking of transactions, analysis of transactions and financials, and proactive financial management. This role is also responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for the division. The Finance Manager collaborates with other departments to analyze financial data, develop strategies for cost reduction, revenue, and profit enhancement, and provide insights to support timely decision-making at the executive level. He is also responsible for timely completion of internal and external audits and ensuring clean management letters. Overall, the Accounting Manager of a business division plays a critical role in managing the division’s financial health, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Key Accountabilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS)

• Analyze financial performance, identifying key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

• Provide detailed financial reports and insights to senior management, highlighting financial performance and making recommendations for improvement.

Financial Planning & Strategy:

• Support strategic planning through financial modeling and scenario analysis, assessing the financial implications of business decisions.

• Provide financial guidance and insight to executive management to support key decisions, including new investments, cost-cutting initiatives, and capital expenditures.

• Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial goals with business objectives and growth strategies.

Accounting & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, Zakat, VAT and internal controls by working closely with auditors, tax advisors, and legal teams.

• Lead the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring that taxes are properly managed and compliant with local requirements.

• Oversee the financial audit process, working closely with external and internal auditors.

 

Qualifications, Experiences, Skills

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge

Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA

Minimum Experience (no. of years)

9+ years in similar position
